Low Glow is a uniquely shaped Japanese red pine that is short and dense. Low Glow may reach 1-2 ft in height by 3-5 ft in width in 10 years. The needles on this short Japanese red pine are a bright chartreuse in the spring, giving this dwarf a glowing effect. Found as a seedling from a witches broom by Dr. Sid Waxman, this pine is quite unique. Some, including the conifer society website, think this type mat possibly be a hybrid between a Japanese Red Pine and a Japanese Black Pine.
